Job Description.
Review the accounts of companies and other organisations to ensure their financial records are correct and in line with the law. They could be inspecting the accounts of their own employer or those of another organisation, and they can also act in an advisory role to recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
An auditor examines, analysis, and verifies an organizations financial and operational records to accuracy efficiency and compliance with the law.
Key Responsivities
- Conducts pre- and post-audit meetings to present audit results
• Performs governmental audit procedures in accordance with GAGAS
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of financial transactions
• Designs and plans audit procedures based on detail analysis and research of Federal regulations and state statutes, administrative policies, and contractual requirements
• Evaluates accounting and administrative controls
• Performs complex audit procedures using professional judgment
• Documents the analysis, evaluation and interpretation of the results of financial and compliance of the audited entity
• Receives and analyzes auditee corrective action plans for acceptance
• Issues draft and final audit reports •
Delivers final audit reports within time periods agreed to with the Manager
• Identifies potential fraud and/or program abuse and refers matters to appropriate personnel
• Supports investigative reviews by performing procedures upon request by investigators • Performs other related
- Examine the financial Statement, including balance sheets, income statements, bank statements and payroll records
- Interviewing employees to understand existing processes and expenditures
- Observing, recording and analysing day-to-day operations related to financial procedures, such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and payroll administration
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and widely accepted accounting standards
- Investigating and preventing financial fraud
- Preparing detailed audit reports and submitting them to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
- Developing strategies to improve efficiency, increase revenue and mitigate financial risk.
- Implementing new internal controls and processes that align with internal goals and external regulation changes, such as laws regarding technology integration

Education or Qualification Required
A masters degree, bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Professional titles such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CA (Chartered Accountant), or CIA (Certified Internal auditing).
