It is easy to deal with an employer who understands unionism and have all it takes to

negotiate with intelligence. In my 5 years of working with Labor Power, there has not been a single agitation on site

unlike other companies around us. We the union executives are grateful to be recognized with prestige on behalf of the workforce on the ASEED

gas project.

I Raymond Antwi and my team who worked at the Port Expansion project went through series of training, learnt and

mastered new skills like sand blasting,NDT welding, Acropot moulding and many other.We have come to realize that these skills are not many in Ghana

and getting a job for these skills also very difficult. Sometime, some of my colleauges who had the opportunity to get jobs are not paid according to the industry rate,

yet expats are used for the job earning their pay per hour in USD. Our skills are required in major engineering project yet no exposure.

I wouldn’t urge Labor power to collaborate with the government to strengthen tides in the local content hiring for highly skilled worker in the oil and gas industry.

We really need this help to support our career.

I have worked under 3 different outsourcing companies. My mind blew up when my new employer announced we were

going to be outsourced to a new company thus, Labor Power. I almost resigned ! Meanwhile, had to give some time to go through the transition.

Good Morning to Rosemary

I resigned from my previous job and had a hard time getting a new one. I earmarked 3 companies within my industry that would suite my professional life.

I contacted Labor Power and consultancy and asked if they could help. First, I wasn’t sure because the feedback received wasn’t assuring enough.

Just two week afterwards , I was called to attend an interview in one of the companies I earmarked . I did not get to work in the position I require, yet I am glad to be working in my dream company.

I applied for a job as an Accountant which was posted on their site. 2 days Afterwards, I received a call from them asking me to re-organise my CV and reapply.

Initially I was sceptical and thought it was not the best to call me about my CV if they were not ready to offer me a job. They offered to create a professional resume for me for free,

they boosted my confidence when I was told about my rich experience and yet, I required a good resume to catch the attention my potential employer.

3 weeks later I was called to come to attend an interview with one of their clients.I now work as an accountant through Labor Power.

I worked as a contract worker with Labor Power on the port Expansion project as a procurement officer from 2018-2022.

I can confidently say, that Labor power influenced my career.I had the opportunity to practice challenging procedural tasks as an officer.

I work as a Commercial Manager now and feel fulfilled for experiencing rich challenges that made me advanced my career today.

I received an email for an interview. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be that easy.

At the end I was recruited and my journey of my new career proven successful. I didn’t pay any fee for their service as a job seeker.
