JOB SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and management of the organization. The CFO provides leadership in financial operations, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance to ensure the company’s long-term financial health and growth. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO advises senior management and the board on financial performance, investment strategies, and business opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and executive leadership team.
- Support business expansion, mergers, acquisitions, and investment decisions.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and growth.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
- Monitor key financial metrics and prepare regular financial reports for leadership and the board.
- Conduct financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
Financial Management & Operations
- Oversee accounting, treasury, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage company capital structure, financing, and investor relationships.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor the finance and accounting teams.
- Establish financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or Master’s degree preferred).
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including senior leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of financial planning, corporate finance, and risk management.
Experience working with executive leadership and boards of directors.
