JOB SUMMARY

A reputable company is seeking the services of an experienced welder who will be responsible for joining metal parts using various welding techniques and equipment. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, and ensuring strong, precise welds that meet safety and quality standards. Welders work in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, automotive, and maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
  • Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
  • Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, arc welders, and gas welding tools.
  • Join metal components using appropriate welding techniques.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Repair and maintain metal structures, equipment, and machinery.
  • Measure and align workpieces using rulers, calipers, and other tools.
  • Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment at all times.
  • Maintain welding tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Document work progress and report any defects or issues.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in welding from a recognized technical or vocational institution.
  • Proven experience as a welder or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and symbols.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and procedures.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Physical strength and stamina for handling heavy materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
