Job Summary
A reputable company is seeking the services for the warehousemanager who will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and dispatch of goods. The role ensures that warehouse operations run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The manager coordinates staff, monitors performance, implements systems to improve productivity, and maintains accurate records of stock movements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory and Stock Management
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and records using inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
• Ensure proper labeling, organization, and rotation of stock. - Operational Management
• Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities to meet delivery and order deadlines.
• Develop and implement efficient layout and storage strategies to optimize space.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transport coordination.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards. - Staff Supervision
• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators, packers, and loaders.
• Delegate tasks, set performance targets, and monitor productivity.
• Conduct staff appraisals and provide coaching or disciplinary actions when necessary. - Equipment and Facility Management
• Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, conveyors, scanners, etc.).
• Oversee building security, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
• Implement measures to reduce waste, damage, and losses. - Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, productivity, and order fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, receipts, and stock transfers.
• Work with the finance department to reconcile physical and system-based inventories. - Coordination and Communication
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal departments (procurement, sales, production).
• Ensure timely communication regarding delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and workflow automation.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience (3–5 years minimum) in warehouse or inventory management.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
