Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

A reputable company is seeking to hire a Loader. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading, unloading, moving, and securing goods, materials, and products for storage, transportation, or delivery. The role requires physical strength, attention to detail, strict adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to ensure the timely and accurate movement of goods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load products, materials, and equipment onto trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles.
• Unload incoming shipments and place them in designated storage areas.
• Ensure cargo is evenly distributed to prevent damage during transportation.
• Secure loads using straps, ropes, shrink wrap, or other approved securing methods.
• Move goods manually or with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (where certified), or hand trucks.
• Stack products safely according to company procedures and weight limitations.
• Organize materials to maximize storage efficiency and accessibility.
• Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Observe proper lifting techniques to reduce the risk of injury.
• Report unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Comply with company policies and operational procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of loading bays and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
• Label, sort, and arrange products according to company procedures.
• Support general warehouse activities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous warehouse or loading experience is an advantage but not always required.

Ability to read and understand basic shipping documents.

Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift and carry heavy loads.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods.

Ability to work in varying weather conditions when loading outdoors.

Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
