Reports To: Group HR & Operations Manager (Accra)
A reputable company with its Head Office in Accra is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee all human resources operations. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing the company’s HR strategy on-site in close coordination with the Group HR and Operations Manager.
This full-time, on-site role requires a proactive, hands-on HR professional with a firm grasp of labor law, employee relations, and practical HR administration in field-based operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement HR strategies and policies developed by Head Office, ensuring they are effectively applied on-site to support business objectives.
- Act as the primary HR contact at the field location, ensuring consistent HR support to all site staff and operations.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for site employees in line with company policy.
- Provide day-to-day guidance on employee relations issues and manage disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Oversee time and attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs from the site.
- Supported the implementation and tracking of performance management systems and employee development plans.
- Ensure legal compliance with labor regulations, workplace safety standards, and internal policies.
- Liaise with the Group HR & Operations Manager to prepare reports, suggest improvements, and align site HR activities with corporate strategy.
- Manage general HR administration, including personnel records, benefits administration, and contract documentation.
- Promote a positive and productive work environment through effective employee engagement practices.
- Coordinate site logistics for staff welfare, accommodations, and basic facilities as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a full HR generalist role, preferably within a field or project-based environment.
- An added advantage is a recognized HR certification or membership (e.g., CIHRM, SHRM, CIPD).
- Strong working knowledge of Ghanaian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated experience handling employee relations, disciplinary processes, and HR reporting.
- Proficient in the use of HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple responsibilities on-site.
