Job Summary:
The HR Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department and assisting with the effective management of HR services and programs. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of HR functions within a mining company.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including data entry and maintaining employee records.
– Support recruitment processes by scheduling interviews, coordinating communication with candidates, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
– Process onboarding and offboarding paperwork, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
– Assist in the preparation, distribution, and tracking of internal communications, including memos and employee announcements.
– Support the payroll process by collecting and verifying timesheets and related documents.
– Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
– Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
– Maintain confidentiality and ensure data protection and compliance with relevant legal standards.
– Provide support for HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives and training programs.
– Assist with organizing employee files, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately maintained.
Requirements:
– Proven experience as an HR Clerk or similar administrative role, preferably within the mining industry.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR software systems.
– Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
– Familiarity with labor laws and employment regulations, particularly those relevant to the mining sector.
– Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
– Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software.
