Job Description

Job Purpose

The incumbent is responsible for supporting supervisors in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and transportation needs of the organization. This role involves assisting with facility upkeep, coordinating transport logistics, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.

• Assist in scheduling and performing repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance tasks.

• Ensure facilities comply with health and safety regulations.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.

• Assist in scheduling and managing transportation logistics for staff.

• Ensure vehicles are regularly serviced and maintained for optimal performance.

• Monitor fuel usage and maintain accurate transport-related documentation.

• Coordinate with drivers and external vendors for transportation needs.

• Provide administrative support, including preparing reports and maintaining records.

• Assist in planning and implementing facility and transport-related projects.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors to address operational challenges.

• Perform any other related duties based on the exigencies of the Company as assigned by the supervisor

 D. Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

• Diploma in Facilities Management or Mechanical Engineering

• Minimum of 2 years working experience in Facilities Maintenance and Fleet Management

• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

• 3 years driving experience.

•Good understanding of Facility Maintenance and Fleet Management Procedures, Office Administration and Report writing Skills

• Good initiative and decision making ability.

• Attention to detail – Job requires being careful about details and thorough in completing work task.

• Good problem solving skills.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Good organization, time management and scheduling skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to Multitask. Leadership and behavioral attributes

Must be Competent in demonstrating the following:

• Ability to plan and organize work most efficiently.

• Attention to detail regarding all work assignments.

• Willingness and ability to learn and improve on self-performance.

 • Ability to adapt to extreme conditions in the mining environment.
