JOB SUMMARY

A reputable company is seeking the services of an experienced electrician who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role ensures that all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Electricians play a critical role in ensuring a reliable power supply and preventing electrical hazards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
  • Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers for safety and functionality.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and fix faults promptly.
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ensure all installations and repairs meet safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and hazards.
  • Assemble, install, and test electrical or electronic systems and components.
  • Connect electrical systems to power sources and test for proper operation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other technicians on projects.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests when necessary.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship or vocational training program.
  • Certification or license as required by local or national authorities.

EXPERIENCE

  • Entry-level electricians may start as apprentices.
  • Experienced electricians typically have several years of hands-on experience in the field.
