Responsibilities

  • Assess work areas or equipment to estimate material costs, plan repair schedules, and prevent operational downtime.
  • Create and design unique handcrafted items according to client specifications
  • Use various tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble materials
  • Select and source high-quality materials for each project
  • Ensure that finished products meet quality standards and are functional
  • Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements and provide recommendations
  • Manage inventory and stock levels of materials and supplies
  • Follow proper safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve skills and offerings

Requirements

  • To construct, install, repair, and maintain equipment, facilities, or products safely and efficiently within an organization or on project sites.  
  • Proficient in a specific trade, such as building, carpentry, metalworking, masion
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools and equipment related to the specific trade
  • Ability to measure and calculate quantities and dimensions accurately
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to the specific trade
  • Physical dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
  • Good communication skills, ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • A minimum of appropriate certification with apprenticeship experience or vocational training preferred.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
    Ensure that the quality of work output meets demand.
     Undertake and produce high-quality work.
     Use technical skills to complete tasks with accuracy

  • SKILL:
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, use hand and power tools, solve problems independently, and communicate effectively.
  • Expert knowledge of specific materials, tools, and processes (e.g., woodwork for carpenters, steel benders ,circuits for electricians, or bonding agents for masons).
  •  Skilled operation of specialized hand tools, diagnostic gear, and heavy power equipment.
  • Rapid diagnosis of mechanical, electrical, or structural failures to determine the root cause of an issue.
  •  Precise measurement, angle calculation, and material estimation to reduce waste and cost.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in a specific trade, such as woodworking, metalworking, or metal fabrications
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools and equipment related to the specific trade

Qualifications:

W.A.S.S.C.E,

B.ECE

NVTI Grade 2/3 Certificate, or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant technical field.
