Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Erector to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and installing structural components, including steel frameworks, towers, and prefabricated structures. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work at heights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and erection plans

Assemble and install structural components such as beams, columns, trusses, and frames

Position, align, and secure parts using bolts, rivets, welding, or other fastening methods

Operate lifting equipment such as cranes, hoists, and forklifts to move materials

Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and structural integrity of erected components

Perform rigging activities, including attaching loads and guiding crane operators

Inspect materials and equipment before installation to ensure quality and safety

Follow all safety regulations, including the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Work at heights using scaffolding, ladders, or elevated work platforms

Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other construction workers

Perform maintenance or adjustments to installed structures when necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Strong understanding of construction and structural assembly techniques

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Knowledge of rigging, lifting, and hoisting procedures

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery

Good physical strength, stamina, and coordination

Attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work in a team and follow instructions

Strong awareness of safety practices and hazard prevention

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• Certification in rigging, scaffolding, or welding (advantageous)
• Previous experience in construction, steel erection, or industrial installation
• Valid safety certifications (e.g., working at heights, crane signaling)
• Experience operating lifting equipment is a plus
