Job Description
Position Overview:
Zijin Mining is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with experience in the mining industry to join our dynamic team in Accra. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic solutions to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Process Analysis:
– Conduct thorough analysis of current business processes and operations within the mining sector.
– Identify inefficiencies and suggest effective solutions to optimize productivity and resource management.
2. Data Collection and Interpretation:
– Gather, compile, and analyze relevant data from various sources to support decision-making processes.
– Present data findings in a clear and actionable manner to key stakeholders.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration:
– Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and IT, to gather business requirements and ensure alignment with company objectives.
– Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss business needs and propose strategic plans.
4. Project Management:
– Support the implementation of new business solutions and process improvements by managing projects from inception to completion.
– Develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project goals.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
– Prepare detailed business reports, process documentation, and assessments to provide insights for senior management.
– Ensure all documentation accurately reflects operational processes and improvements.
6. Continuous Improvement:
– Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes and advocate for innovative approaches within the organization.
– Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the mining sector.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mining Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
– Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the mining industry.
– Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
– Proven ability to manage and execute projects successfully.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
– Experience working with ERP systems and other business process management software.
– Familiarity with the regulatory and operational landscape of the mining industry.
– Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying business needs.
